1. Introduction
TickTime (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a lightweight, offline-first stopwatch and timer application for Android, developed by Sheraz Ali Developer. The App is designed to work entirely on your device without requiring an account, an internet connection, or any backend services.
This Privacy Policy explains how TickTime handles information when you use the App. It applies to the Android application with the package name com.sherazalideveloper.ticktime. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your data.
By using TickTime, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
2. Information We Collect
TickTime does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. The App has no backend, no user accounts, no login or signup, and no cloud database.
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, device identifiers, or any other personally identifiable information. We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools of any kind.
Because TickTime operates entirely offline and locally, no information ever leaves your device through the App.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
TickTime stores your stopwatch and timer data—including timing history—locally on your Android device using Room/SQLite storage. This local data is used solely to provide the App’s core functionality: timing, saving history, and displaying past results.
This locally stored data never leaves your device. We have no access to it, and it is not shared with any third party or external service.
4. How Information Is Used
All local timing and history data is used exclusively to:
- Run the stopwatch and timer features.
- Record and display your timing history within the App.
- Maintain your preferences and app state locally.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose beyond operating the App on your device.
5. Data Sharing
TickTime does not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with anyone. Since we do not collect any personal data through a backend, there is nothing to share.
No user data is transmitted to third parties, advertisers, or analytics providers.
6. Third-Party Services
TickTime does not use any third-party services for analytics, advertising, authentication, cloud storage, or data processing. This includes, but is not limited to, Firebase (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase App Check, Firestore), Google Analytics, ad networks, or tracking SDKs.
The App does not integrate with any social media platforms, external APIs, or cloud synchronization services.
7. Internet and Network Usage
TickTime is designed to work completely offline. The App does not require an internet connection to function, and it does not transmit any data over the network.
While the App itself does not use the internet, your device’s operating system or the Google Play Store may collect information independently—this is outside the scope of TickTime and governed by their respective privacy policies.
8. Data Security
Your timing history and App data are stored locally on your device using Android’s built-in Room/SQLite storage. The security of this data depends on your device’s own security measures, such as screen lock, encryption, and operating system protections.
We do not have access to your locally stored data and cannot secure it remotely. We recommend keeping your device updated and using a secure lock screen.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
TickTime retains your locally stored timing history and app data only on your device, for as long as you use the App. You can delete this data at any time by:
- Clearing the App’s data through your Android device settings (Settings → Apps → TickTime → Storage → Clear data).
- Uninstalling the App, which will remove locally stored application data according to Android’s normal app-data behavior.
Since we do not hold any of your data on external servers, there is no separate deletion request process required. Once data is removed from your device, it is permanently deleted.
10. Children’s Privacy
TickTime does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is a simple utility tool that operates entirely offline and does not require any personal data to function.
Because no personal information is collected, TickTime is safe for users of all ages. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns, you may contact us using the information in Section 12.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of TickTime after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
